After school this past Wednesday, my travel buddies and I hopped on a train to Copenhagen, Denmark. We able to get into the city in less than 30 minutes and only had to change trains once. From Copenhagen Central Station, we walked right into Nyhavn where we saw the famous 17th century colorful townhouses that line the canal harbor. The buildings and boats are even more stunning in person.
After that, we went to the Rundetaarn or Round Tower and walked up a seemingly-endless winding staircase to a panoramic of the entire city. You can see the Rundetaarn in the picture below with the small dome on top.
We stopped by Tivoli Gardens, the second oldest amusement park in the world, and ate at Torvehallernes, a large popular food market. I spent over an hour looking at all the vendors! I loved looking at the chocolate shops, baked goods, spices, and of course, different ice cream and gelato vendors :) I even spotted a bunch of chocolate frogs #gofrogs
Hej då för nu,
